PARTNER PROGRAMME · WHITE-LABEL CUSTOMS AUDIT

Your clients' declarations are your liability. Make them your product.

Every entry filed in your name is exposure HMRC can revisit for years. BorderAudit partners flip it into a partner-delivered audit practice: the platform white-labelled under your brand, clients qualified in two minutes, and the documented audit PAS 41201 §4.2 expects — on flat platform economics.

THE LIABILITY

The risk already sits in your book.

BROKERS · FORWARDERS · AGENTS

Intermediaries sit closest to the risk — and closest to the opportunity. The same declaration book that carries your liability is the raw material of a service your clients will pay for: a documented post-clearance audit, delivered by the practice that files their entries.

Representation
Indirect representation makes it your debt
Act as an indirect representative and you are jointly and severally liable for your client's customs debt. Every entry filed in your name is exposure — and HMRC can revisit entries for years after clearance.
Error rate
17% of declarations contain errors
The UK processes 4.4 million declaration lines a day and roughly one in six declarations contains an error. Scaled to a busy intermediary's book, the question isn't whether there are errors in your declarations — it's how many.
The audit clause
PAS 41201 §4.2 expects a documented audit
The BSI specification for customs intermediaries — sponsored by HMRC — expects a documented annual internal audit of the declarations you submit. Most practices have no systematic way to run one, let alone evidence it.
The flip side
The same audit is a product clients pay for
Clearance fees are commoditised; a documented post-clearance audit of a client's book is a premium service. Someone will sell that audit to your clients — the only question is whether it carries your brand.
THE WEDGE · PAS 41201 §4.2

Audit competence is the new credential.

PAS 41201 — the BSI specification for customs intermediaries, sponsored by HMRC — defines what a trusted intermediary is expected to evidence. Clause 4.2 is the auditing clause: a documented annual internal audit of the declarations you submit. The specification is voluntary today, but your principals can already ask you to prove how you meet it — and a practice that audits its own book is a practice that can credibly sell audits.

§4.2 · Your own book
A documented annual audit
A documented, sampled, field-level review of the declarations your practice submits — produced as a by-product of running the platform, not a separate project.
§4.2 · Same fields
The dimensions HMRC cares about
Classification, origin, preference, valuation and procedure codes — the declaration fields PAS 41201 audits sample are the same dimensions BorderAudit already analyses on every entry.
§4.2 · Provable
Evidence, not assertion
Compliance with the standard is self-declared and must be provable. The platform retains the trail: sampling records, findings, corrective actions and locked audit reports.
Proof of competence, productised

The engine that helps you evidence §4.2 conformance on your own declarations is the same engine you offer clients as a partner. One platform, two uses: your credential, and your product. See PAS 41201 in the platform →

White-label customs audit, from the partner side

Your brand on the platform, our engine underneath — how a partner-delivered audit practice runs without an integration project.

THE PARTNER JOURNEY

From introducer to audit practice.

Three tiers, one direction of travel. Most partners launch whitelabel on a subdomain, build the client book, then take delivery in-house on their own domain. Every tier runs on flat platform economics — never a success fee, never a commission on what your clients recover.

TIER 1 · INTRODUCER

Refer, and earn.

Introduce clients to BorderAudit under the BorderAudit brand on a referral arrangement. The lightest way in — watch the model work on your own book before you put your brand on it.

TIER 2 · WHITELABELMOST START HERE

Your brand, our operation.

The platform runs partner-branded — your logo, your colours, your name — on your own subdomain (yourbrand.borderaudit.io) with a "Powered by BorderAudit" attribution. BorderAudit operates the audits behind your brand. Zero custom development.

TIER 3 · CO-BRANDED

Your domain, your delivery.

A co-branded practice on your own custom domain (app.yourfirm.com), with your team delivering the audits on the platform. The destination of the partner journey — a fully partner-delivered audit practice.

Domains aren't tier-locked

A custom domain is available at any tier once the DNS is set up on your side — tiers set the commercial terms, not the deployment surface. Subdomain today, your domain when your team is ready.

Using, not running?

This page is about running audit services on the platform as a partner. If you want BorderAudit inside your own practice — auditing your book and your clients' under our brand — start with the intermediary solution instead. BorderAudit for customs intermediaries →
